Fe Counter or Bar Height Zig Zag Stool in Raw Black Steel by MTHARU

This listing is for the Fe Counter height stool (26") or Bar height stool (29"). The Fe stool is our take on Gerrit Rietveld's zig zag stool from 1934. We decided to use steel for its ductility and elasticity to give it a gentle rocking motion. It can be made in both bar height (29") and counter heights (26").

At MTHARU we embrace the raw beauty of materials. The flat raw black steel has color spectrums ranging from gray and black to violets and midnight blue. The shape of this table is only possible in one continuous form thanks to the properties of steel.

For the Zinc Plated stools, mild steel has been plated with a three step process of dichroic zinc, that gives this stool a spectrum of colours that changes over time. It creates rust prohibition and also an object of beauty. This is available in either yellow dichromate or clear dichromate finishes.
